Initially when i kept seeing that error in event viewer I thought my graphics card might be dying, however testing with benchmark programs and other games I now don’t think that’s the case because I get no crashes in anything else even at 100% load. I’ve verified game files, deleted the game and completely redownloaded it, reinstalled anti cheat, updated all drivers/windows updates/etc, rolled back all drivers/windows updates/etc to see if a prior version would help, and actually completely formatted my computer and reinstalled windows and nothing has helped. It’s just Lost Ark itself that is causing the driver to stop responding. I can benchmark my gpu and leave it at 100% with benchmark software and no crashes/freezes/low fps or event viewer errors. However Lost Ark is THE ONLY program or game that causes this error. Every time the game freezes, I get this error in event viewer:ĭisplay driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. I ended up finding out from windows event viewer that the issue is a crashing graphics driver.
I can only play the game for about 90 seconds before it crashes.
This started in the middle of a play session without having applied any new updates or anything and again the previous 150 hours had no issues at all. I would have to manually end the lost ark task, and then re-launch it. The game would freeze but audio would continue and I could still enter task manager or open any other program on my second monitor without issue. I’ve put in over 150 hours into this game with no technical issues, but then a couple of nights ago I started getting game freezes and crashes.
